Itinerary Summary

Experience the magic of Kenya: Nairobi to Aberdares, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Ol Pejeta, Meru, Mwea, and finally, Maasai Mara. Witness breathtaking wildlife in diverse landscapes, from lush forests to expansive savannahs, culminating in an unforgettable safari adventure.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Aberdares National Park. (184 Km, 3-4 Hours)

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or pick up from Nairobi Hotel and drive to Aberdares National Park. Have lunch at Aberdares Country Club before being transferred to the Ark Lodge with a common Bus and a Game Drive enroute arriving in the late evening.

The Ark Lodge is re-known since it was built resembling the Noah’s Ark.

Dinner and Overnight at The Ark Lodge.

Day 2: Aberdares National Park – Samburu Game Reserve. (202 Km, 5-6 Hours)

After Breakfast, depart and drive through the North Lands to Samburu Game Reserve. Have a lunch stop over at Trout Tree Restaurant and the famous Thompson Falls for a great experience.

Later drive through the reserve with a Game Drive arriving at your chosen camp or lodge in the late evening.

Dinner and Overnight at Samburu Game Reserve.

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve.

Full Day is spent in the reserve with options of Full Day Game Drive with picnic lunch boxes or morning and afternoon Game Drive with a lunch break in between.

Have a chance to visit Bufallo Springs National Park and Ewaso Ngiro River that are famous in the reserve.

All meals and overnight at Samburu Game Reserve.

Day 4: Samburu Game Reserve – Mount Kenya National Park. (150 Km, 4-5 Hours)

After an early Breakfast, depart and drive to Mount Kenya National Park with picnic boxes. Have an extensive Game Drive arriving at your chosen lodge in the late evening.

Mount Kenya National Park hosts the famous snow-capped Mountain with a height 5,199 m and is the source of most rivers in Kenya.

Hiking at the mountain is highly advised and regarded as a great attraction and experience.

Dinner and Overnight at Mount Kenya National Park.

Day 5: Mount Kenya National Park – Olpejeta Conservancy. ( 101 Km, 2-3 Hours)

After Breakfast, depart and drive through Olpejeta conservancy arriving at your chosen camp/lodge in time for a hot lunch. After lunch, visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and have a great chance to play, interact and learn more about their vast history.

Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and home to the only two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos.

All meals and overnight at Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Day 6: Ol Pejeta Conservancy – to Nairobi. (210 Km, 3-4 Hours)

Depart and Drive to Nairobi City. Nairobi is the Capital City of Kenya and hosts the famous International Airports, hotels, restaurants, stadiums among other facilities you can think of.

Visit Nairobi Museum and Snake Park and learn about the great history of Kenya. Have lunch at Tamarind Brasserie that is owned by Carnivore Restaurant after which you will drive to Giraffe Centre for an interaction, feeding experience with the Giraffes and warthogs in the facility. Later visit the famous Bomas of Kenya for Cultural learning and entertainment of all tribes in Kenya

All Meals and Overnight at Nairobi.

Day 7: Nairobi –  Maasai Mara Game Reserve.( 250 km, 5- 6 Hours)

After Breakfast, depart and drive to Maasai Mara Reserve with a Game Drive enroute arriving at your chosen camp in time for lunch.

After lunch, have an afternoon Game Drive that brings you close to the vast wildlife that the reserve is famous for.

All Meals and Overnight at Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

Day 8: Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

Option of Full Day Game Drive with Picnic Boxes or Morning & Afternoon Game Drives with a lunch Break in between.

Day 9: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi (265 km, 5-6 Hours.))

An early start, with tea, coffee, or hot chocolate to rouse and ready you, is followed by another game drive. The African safari you have dreamed of is again presented. Sweeping scenery, rolling hills, acacia trees, all punctuated by the animals of the Masai Mara as they start a fresh day on the plains.

Hot air balloon is a perfect way to fully understand the extent of the landscape as well as a great way to see vast swathes of animals as they move through their habitat. Taking a balloon safari is an optional extra at a cost of $450 per person, for many it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience the Maasai Mara like few have.

Allow yourself a visit to a Maasai village; home to warriors of the plains who have a legendary relationship with the animals. Greeted with a traditional song and dance, followed by time to explore the village, you can learn of their culture and understand some of their ancient heritage; this is a chance not to be missed. An extra fee of $25 per person is charged for this truly unique experience.

Before your return to Nairobi, breakfast will be served at your accommodation, sustenance for the drive through gorgeous African countryside once again. Upon your return, you can choose for a hotel, residence, or airport drop-off, depending on your onward plans

The final day of your Kenyan safari includes:

  • No accommodation, this is the final day.
  • Breakfast and lunch, no dinner.
  • Drinking water, other drinks are extra.
